What We Do

One Lagoon restores and protects the Indian River Lagoon through habitat restoration, science and technology, community partnerships and public education. Powered by the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program (IRLNEP), this work follows the Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan (CCMP). Together, we’re plotting a roadmap for reversing decades of ecological decline along Florida’s estuaries.

The CCMP is our science-based document for restoring the lagoon, guiding 32 Action Plans across water quality, habitats and community health.

NOAA Habitat Restoration Grant

This $9.4 million grant unites 10 partners to restore habitat at 15 lagoon locations, including 73 acres of seagrass and 2,125 acres of wetlands.

Envirothon

Envirothon is our annual field competition for middle and high school students from five IRL counties, testing skills in aquatic ecology, wildlife and lagoon ecology.
